Message from Amranul Hoque Kamal, Founder and Executive Director, VARD & Founder and Managing Director- VARD Eye Care Services (VARD-ECS) Ltd.

Voluntary Association for Rural Development (VARD) was established in 1988. Since it’s inception it has been working with the poor people of the community for their socieo- economic development. VARD started its work in Sylhet at the beginning. Now it is working in 54 Upazilas under 7 districts of Bangladesh. We have planned to expand it’s activities in wider areas with an integrating development approach in rural and urban areas.

We acknowledge with gratitude the support of all development partners, donors and all of my colleagues. I would also like to express my shorn appreciation to our members of Executive Committee and General Body for their valuable support and cooperation.
